Someone Else, aka Philadelphia's Sean O' Neal, brings us two tracks of lush and dissonant deep techno, permeated with found sounds, a quirky yet serious sensibility, and awash with crackly atmosphere. Restrained and measured, these nonetheless funk filled pieces straddle lines, lending value to the cause of the dance floor and the cause of ingenuity. Accompanying the two originals are remixes by Morgan Packard, whose drum and bass version turns Ploosh around into a roller filled with fragmented keys and midrange bass notes, and Ezekiel Honig, who strips and edits Gushball's found sound details and adds warm keys into the mix for a soft techno affair.
